Dee Ellmann
Teacher

Dee grew up in a musically oriented family in Chicago and has been singing all her life. Although Dee gravitated towards literature in her studies, she has always had a deep interest in music and it has been a constant source of pleasure and enrichment. She has taken many classes in harmony singing and considers music making with family and friends one of her favorite hobbies. She has a B.A. in English and worked in Advertising and Publicity for Bay Area branches of major film studios. While raising her two sons in Palo Alto, Dee returned to school for her Masters degree in Library Science. She became a Children’s Librarian and has led countless musical storytimes for Babies and Toddlers. She has also served the children of her community as a School Librarian in both public and private Palo Alto schools. She is a trained teacher in the Music for Minors and Music Together programs. Dee is a lively and animated teacher who knows how to keep young children engaged as they explore music and language literacy.
