Teacher

Ellen Gibson has been enjoying and performing music all her life. Her mother said she sang to herself everyday as a young child. She began the playing guitar in second grade, and played and sang in the church band for many years. She is a singer/songwriter and has spent many years playing solo shows as well as singing lead in various rock bands. She also enjoys playing the African drums, in drum circles around the Bay Area.

Ellen teaches a nature exploration preschool on the peninsula, where she plays music and does art with her students. She also leads hikes and teaches nature appreciation. This is her eighth year of teaching early childhood programs, five years with preschool, overlapping with five years of Music Together.

Ellen is committed to sharing music, the arts, and nature with young children as a strong foundation for education and a well rounded life.
