Lynne
Teacher
Lynne was born and raised in Palo Alto and grew up in a very musical household, with parents
and grandparents who played violin, piano, accordion, clarinet, guitar and even a saw! Dinner parties
often ended up with everyone sitting around the table singing 4 part harmonies. Lynne was a regular at
the Palo Alto Children's Theater performing in many shows throughout her childhood. She took dance,
piano and guitar lessons as well and dabbled in violin and flute. Lynne went on to sing in school choirs
and smaller assembles while still performing in musical theater. In high school, she and a friend
started singing folk music at local venues which eventually turned into an 8 piece rock group.
While Lynne's children were in school she taught art through Art In Action and also volunteered at Girl Scout Day Camp where she was a unit leader and helped lead and teach music.
Lynne studied voice with local musical theater diva, Muriel Older Brown, who taught her that all things are possible! Lynne has performed with various rock bands throughout the years and currently sings and plays percussion for the Colony Street Band, a six piece classic rock band.
Having been a stay at home mom for the last 20 years, Lynne is ready to get back to work and is looking forward to doing two of the things she loves the most... music and working with children!
